Jennifer Darlene Fleming passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 54. She was born on November 30, 1969, in Evansville Indiana, to her parents, the late John and Florence Fleming. She was their final bundle of joy. As the last of twelve siblings, Jennifer was blessed with an endless amount of love and nurturance showered upon her by older siblings and extended family members. Along with her parents’ guidance, this outpouring of love helped her to grow into a secure, loving, kind-hearted, and compassionate woman. She was always concerned about other people’s health and well-being, even amid her own suffering.
Jennifer graduated from Bosse High School with honors. She continued her education at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she earned a degree in English literature. She also studied towards a master’s in counseling at Indiana State University in Terre Haute. After her university studies, she worked in a variety of settings, including as a paralegal and in manufacturing at Toyota. The role she relished most was her work with children in schools. Jennifer lived for a time in Washington, D.C.
Jennifer loved traveling, hanging out with friends, reading, and watching movies. She had great taste and was a style leader and fashionista. She had a flair for coordinating home décor, and the latest clothing trends including the perfect accessories. But her greatest attributes were her kindness and grace she afforded to others. Jennifer had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was an involved aunt and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, John and Florence Fleming, and her brothers, Eric King, Kenneth King, and Dana Fleming. She is survived by her brothers, Dennis King (Regina), Michael King, David King, and Brent Fleming, and sisters, Faye Daniels, Jacqueline King, Gail Garnett, and Linda (David) McGhee.
