James R. Tyler, age 63, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018. He expired at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
James was born in Henderson, Kentucky on September 22, 1954 to George Tyler and Margaret Allen Tyler. He had ten brothers and sisters.
James was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and spent most of his life as a farmer. Throughout his life, he loved hunting and fishing and sports. Like many in Kentucky, he was a University of Kentucky Basketball fan. But more than anything, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his father, George; his mother, Margaret; his sisters: Betty Outlaw, Anna Tyler, Jenny Tyler, and Loucresia Burkins; and one brother, Mitchell Tyler.
He leaves to mourn his passing, three sisters: Margaret Collins, Mary Carey, Wanda Carter; two brothers: Leroy Posey, George Tyler; a very special friend, Sis. Linda Fyffe; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Services are Thurs. June 7, 2018 at 1 pm at St. Paul Baptist Church in Corydon, KY with visitation from 11 a.m. until service. Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
