James Ross Tramill

James Ross Tramill, 82, passed on January 24, 2025, at Woodlands-Arbor Brickyard Nursing Home in Newburgh, IN. James, who was often called Dunk by his family, was born in Evansville to the late Robert and Sarah Rabon Tramill on September 8, 1942. He was raised on the farm in Clarksville, TN until he moved back to Evansville in 1965 to live with his sister Janie and her family. After retiring from Alcoa Aluminum Works, he rehabbed an old farmhouse and tinkered with automobiles for which he had a natural talent. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by siblings: Wilbur, Carol, Joseph, Charles, Carl, and Elder Robert Tramill Jr. 

James leaves to cherish his memory daughter, Carmen Hardiman; stepson, Keenan Hardiman; grandchildren, Symara Cobb, DeMarco Groves Jr., Somone Salandino (Josh), Sanaa Utley; great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Rylee, Ramzee, DeMarco III, and Levee; siblings, Janie, Michael, Rachel, Virginia, Emmitt (Lucretia), Emerson, and Ernest (Faye) of Gig Harbor, WA, Mary of San Francisco, CA; cousins, nieces and nephews near and far and of Clarksville, TN including former sister-in-law Sue and best friend and mother of his daughter, Florena (Sissie).
