Obituary
James Anthony Brimm was called home while surrounded by family and friends at Linda White Hospice in Evansville, Indiana on February 1, 2022, at the age of sixty-seven. James was born on April 9, 1954, to the late James Henry Brimm and Loretta (Starks) Brimm in Boonville, Indiana. He was Baptized at an early age at Mt. Liberty Baptist in Boonville under the leadership of Rev. Carl Walker.
James graduated from Boonville High School in 1972. He was an avid athlete and received a football scholarship to the University of Evansville and graduated from there with both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business and art. He loved to spread joy and laughter in any room he entered. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family and friends. He loved to fish, hunt for arrowheads, and playing the guitar. James made sure everyone around him was happy by joking and spreading warm comfort. The grandchildren, whom he adored, were the apple of his eye.
He was an art teacher at Castle for many years and left there to work for the U.S. Postal Service and then went on to work in the construction industry until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Christina Brimm and sisters: Shirley Calloway and Lisa Acklin.
James will be greatly missed by his daughter: Sadia Brimm of Evansville, Indiana; sons: James Brimm of Saudi Arabi, Jacob Brimm, and Jacy Brimm both of Evansville, Indiana; sisters: Kathie Brimm Lindsey of Pflugerville, Texas, Francian (Ray) Clardy, Pam Tinsley (Clidy) Goines, Sandy Brimm all of Evansville; brothers: Keith Brimm (Evansville), Robert (Joy) Brimm (Kansas City, MO); his dear friend Roxanne Hunt; 6 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
