Jacqueline Jane Turpin,73, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2017. She was one of 8 children born to Don C. Wilson and Laura Holland Wilson in Fredonia, Kentucky. Being born on February 14, 1944, was special to Jackie as this was St. Valentine Day. Therefore, she loved all things red as it was her favorite color.
Jackie, attended the old Central High School and went on to become employed at several restaurants throughout Evansville including F’s Steakhouse and Red Lobster, where she was a cook. She also worked at Ellis Park Race Track for several years.
Jackie professed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age and later joined Independence Baptist church where she was active on the Usher Board for a time. She enjoyed attending services until her health prohibited her from doing so. Jackie enjoyed hanging out with friends and family. She loved to play cards, especially spades. When her health permitted, she would take long walks to enjoy the scenery; sometimes with the grandkids tagging along.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents are a son Curtis Wilson and siblings: Pete Wilson, Freddy Wilson, and Jean Ellen Wilson.
Jackie leaves precious memories for her husband of 53 years, Charles Turpin, Sr.; daughters: Maryetta Turpin, Jackie Wilson; sons: Larry Wilson: Charles Turpin, Jr.; sisters: Eloise Wilson Madison, Doris Wilson, Shirley “Mickey” Wilson; brothers: J.E.
