Jace Elliott Partis was born in Hampton, Virginia, at Langley Air Force Base to Tony Partis and Breck Elizabeth Smith on May 20, 1997. He departed this life on June 1, 2024, in Evansville, IN.
Jace graduated from Grassfield High School in Chesapeake, Virginia. In 2015, he moved to Henderson, Kentucky, where he was employed by Shamrock Industries. He was employed by Newport News Shipbuilding as a welder. Jace attended Henderson Community College and received his welding certificate. He was working on obtaining his advanced welder’s certificate at the time of his death.
Jace loved swimming, reading, and old-school 1990s music. He was passionate about candle-making and introducing his family to holistic foods and healing.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Allan Partis, Sr., Cesaria H. Partis, Geraldine Reynolds, Leon Cowell, Sr., Herman Smith, Sr., Grace Smith, Clyde Cole, Daniel Geddis; aunt, Jeanmaria Cowell Byrd; aunt, Freda Cowell; uncle, Donte’ Newsome
He leaves to cherish his memory mother, Breck E. Smith; father, Modesto Tony Partis (Leona D.G.) ; stepfather, Schon Thomas; grandparents, Bruce Smith (Angela), Glenda White, Tommie Cole, Julia Geddis, Willie J. Reynolds, Jr.; aunts & uncles, Kristin Benders (Ruben), Cecilia P. Ramos, Frances Partis Ogaldez, Allan Partis, Jr., William Partis, Cecilla Aranda, Tennesha Smith Ward (Vince), Antonio Lomba, Sr. (Cary), Bruce Smith II (Abnet), Maria G. Bowens, Stacy V. Taylor, Madeline G. Bramlett, Valerie Cowell, Danny Geddis, Leon Cowell, Jr. (Sharon), James and Shirley Trotter; siblings, Areini S. Partis, Melessia M. Partis-Seale, Zion R. Jace had a rich life filled with diverse interests and a strong sense of family. His passion for learning and sharing new experiences shines through his story. Jace was a kind and generous person. His memory will surely be cherished by those who knew him.
