Helen Elizabeth Banks

Helen Elizabeth Banks, 88, went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2022. She was born July 1, 1933, in Versailles, KY to the late Dan and Elma Baker.

In 1954, Helen was united in Holy Matrimony to Soney Banks, Jr. in Lexington, KY. They relocated to Evansville, IN and she became a member of Cleaves Memorial CME Church.
Helen was an active member of the church for more than 60 years and faithfully served as Church Secretary for many years. She was a member of the Stewardess Board, sang in the Cleaves Chorus, and was a long-time member of the Missionary Society. Helen worked at Bristol Myers in the Label Room, retiring after 30+ years of service.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband: Soney Banks, Jr.; brothers: Robert Baker, Joseph Baker, and Donald Baker; grandson: Landen Keith Miller.

Helen leaves to cherish her memories, daughters: Stacia Thomas (Roland), Tanya Cook (Darrell), Lori Banks-McNary; son: Keith Banks; grandchildren: Shaun Banks, April Garrett, Stefanie Ward, Ebonie Ward, Darrell Cook, Jr., Myron Banks, Peggy Banks, Derrick Stanfield, Lydon McNary, Sheldon McNary, Brandon McNary; 30 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, church family, and friends.
