Hattie Mae Hines, 91, of Madisonville, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. She was born December 9, 1924, the fourth child of seven to the late Wash Hines, Sr. and Willie L. Cornelius Minor Hines.
In addition to her parents, Hattie was also preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters: L.J. Hines, Tommy Lee Hines, Sr., Florine Hines Morris, Margaret Robinson, Josephine Hines Washington, Wash Hines, Jr., and daughter: Donna Maria Hines.
Hattie loved people and enjoyed doing her word search puzzles in her free time. For the last several years she resided at the Brighton Cornerstone Nursing Home where she enjoyed playing bingo and making jewelry. She was a member of the Ship Chapel Baptist Church in Ilsley, KY under the leadership of the Rev. C. D. Martin from an early age. She later attended Lively Stone Church of God in Nortonville, KY. She attended church services until she was bed-ridden.
She is survived by one son: Phillip Stanley Hines; 5 grandchildren, De’Onte’ Marquis Hines, Alexia Dawntrice Hines, Ja Sean Grass, Felicia Ann Hines, and Kimberly Hines; 2 great grand-grandchildren: Jerrnez Trice and Neriah Trice; a special niece Patricia Ann Morris Scisney; two great nieces; Saundra Elaina Scisney and Sheri Lynette Scisney; special nephews William Lawrence Morris, Christopher Morris, Contrell Morris, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will always and forever have loving memories of her.
