Harold Douglas (Buster) Carter, 73, was born February 5, 1951. He went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at his home after visiting with his family. He was born in Hebbardsville, KY.
Buster joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church under Rev. T.L. Adams. He attended Alves Street School and Henderson City High School where he played football and softball. Buster loved all kinds of sports, playing cards, working, and helping his family and friends whenever they needed him.
After thirty-plus years of service, Buster retired from Royster’s Machine Shop due to illness. The Roysters were like family to him.
Buster was preceded in death by his mother, Nettie Mae Carter Key; father, Samuel Wilbur Hawes; step-father, Marion Key, Sr.; brother, Marion Key, Jr.; brother-in-law, Mitchell Parish; grandparents, Samuel David and Eula Frances Carter.
Buster leaves to cherish his memories, a son, LaMont Chambers (Shelley); daughter, Honey Hancock of Henderson; two brothers, Michael Dale Carter and Tracey Key (Sherry); two sisters, Marilyn Parish and Juanita Coy; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
