It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Grace Etta Polk Wilson, who departed this life on February 9, 2025, at the age of 87. A pillar of strength, wisdom, and grace, she was the heart of our family, guiding us with unwavering love and a spirit.
Born on March 9, 1937, Grace dedicated her life to nurturing those around her. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, a source of comfort and wisdom, and an inspiration to all who knew her. Her kindness knew no bounds, her laughter was a melody that filled our hearts, and her legacy of love will live on through the generations she cherished so deeply.
Grace leaves behind her brothers, Richard (Roberta) Polk and Rodney (Cathy) Davis; her sister, Shirley (Amos) Randle; and her children, Arthur (Mary) Bailey, Randall Bailey, Kent Bailey, Donna (Jason) Hughes, Cheryl Johnson, Lisa Grissett, James D. Vass, David (Diane) Vass, and Talisa Small, along with her beloved children, Joyce Marie Thomas and John Flemming Jr. She is also remembered fondly by a host of loving relatives and friends who will forever hold her memory dear. Though she has left our sight, her spirit will continue to guide and protect us.
Rest in peace, our dearest Grace. Your love is eternal, and your legacy will never fade.
