Grace Arnetta Logan, 99, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Woodland Nursing Home. She was born on April 7, 1923, in Evansville, IN, to the late Addie and Charlie Jackson.
Grace professed hope in Jesus Christ at an early age joining Cleaves Memorial CME Church where her grandfather, Rev. Porter Triggs, was a founding member. She was raised in the church and as an adult, she was active in the Joy Club. Her membership in Cleaves spanned more than 90 years. Grace loved her family and was a vital part of her grandchildren’s lives. She took them to church and to Sunday School throughout their childhood. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends
She is preceded in death by her husband: Wilcy Logan; daughter: Grace Outlaw; grandchildren: Harold “Tyke” Outlaw, Sherry Lynn Clements, and Larry Outlaw.
She leaves to cherish her memory grandchildren: Sheila Ware, Michael Outlaw, and Anthony Outlaw; nephew: Kenneth Jackson; niece: Denorce Starks; great-grandchildren: Tammy Davis, Shemeka Ware, Jermaine Moore, Pierre Moore, Aniyah Weaver, and Kysonn Tutt.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Diane Snyder, Faye Jackson, and Lisa Cheatum.
