Gloria Dean outlaw Everheart, 91 years young, made her transition from Earth to Eternity on September 9, 2024. She was born to the late Herman Charles Outlaw and Rhoda Jones Outlaw in Evansville, IN. Gloria was baptized at a very young age at Dove’s Chapel Baptist Church. She was a Mission member and sang in a group. She enjoyed eating out with family and friends. Gloria dearly enjoyed flowers and the Azalea bushes that her husband planted over 35 years ago. She was a master in all kinds of needlework and made beautiful lace dresses for her daughter Cathy when she was young and added pretty ribbons to her hair. Her seamstress skills were not limited to dresses alone. Gloria made rugs, afghans, sweaters (including a beautiful granny sweater), and jean jackets with all kinds of designs. Throughout her career, Gloria was a housekeeper in private homes and worked in several restaurants. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and cousin.
Gloria's parents, Herman and Rhoda, lived next door to his brother, Aaron Outlaw, and his wife Laura. They would talk over the fence daily. The two couples competed to see who could have the most children. Herman and Rhoda had 1 more than Aaron and Laura.
Gloria was proud of her family lineage and wanted to leave a record of it to pass on. Her parents Herman Charles Outlaw and Rhoda Jones Outlaw would often say, “We are blessed with 11 chitterlings!” Their children were:
Herman Charles Outlaw(deceased)-wife Jurlean
Donald Outlaw-wife Shirley
Arthur Outlaw-wife Kathy
Rhoda Bert Edwards, the eldest at 93-husband Herbert (deceased)
