Gloria Dean Cook

May 30, 1938 — October 10, 2020

Gloria “Deanie” Woods Cook, 82 passed away October 10, 2020 at Columbia Nursing Home. She was born to the late Raymond and Virginia Sanders Woods in Evansville, IN. Gloria was educated in the Evansville Vanderburgh County School system and graduated from Lincoln High School. She retired from the Executive Inn where she was a server for many years.

Gloria loved spending time with her family especially her daughters and the grandchildren, preparing big meals for everyone to enjoy. She was an avid bowler for many years until her health prohibited her from participating. Throughout the years, she always enjoyed listening to her favorite artists, BB King and Al Green.

Gloria leaves behind to cherish loving memories, two daughters: Mona Sloan and Tina Sloan both of Evansville; grandchildren: Classena Sloan, Larenzo Clayton, Donald Boyd, and Dawntine Boyd all of Evansville; a host of great grandchildren; and special friend Shirley Smith of St. Louis, MO. Services are 1:00 p.m. Friday October 23, 2020 at Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel. A mask is required. Leave condolences at www.masonbrothersfs.com .
