George Nathan Springer, who never met a stranger, was known to family and friends as Nate. Nate was born October 22, 1963 to Carolyn Sue (Brown) Springer and George Harris Springer, Jr.
He moved to Evansville at a young age with his family and attended Lincoln and Oakhill Elementary Schools. He received his high school diploma at Central High School, Evansville, Indiana.
Nate worked for several years at the United States Postal Service in Louisville, Kentucky. After his move back to Evansville, he was noted as a “jack-of- all-trades”.
He was skilled in carpentry, plumbing, maintenance repairs and electrical devices.
Nate found joy in making others laugh. He always had a riddle or joke to tell.
George Nathan was baptized at McFarland Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and sung in the children’s choir leading the song “I’m Satisfied with Jesus.”
He was preceded in death by his parents: Carolyn Sue and George Harris Springer, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two siblings: Demetria and Terrance; a host of nieces and nephews, who loved to call him “Uncle Nathan”; aunties, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
