George Quincy Sherrill

George Quincy Sherrill, age 59, of Mayfield, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center. A native of Mayfield, he was born to Joesphine Sherrill and Quinton George Hayes.

George was a member of Greater St. Paul Baptist Church. He loved riding his bike and helping everyone in the neighborhood in any way he could, especially the older folk, who he always looked after. He loved kids and had a special bond with everyone’s children.

George was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are two sisters: Mary Thomas and Jean (Joe) Currin – both of Mayfield; five brothers: James Sherrill, Joseph Sherrill, Charles Sherrill, Henry Hayes, and Carl (Melissa) Flowers – all of Mayfield; cousin and caregiver: Maria Biggers; her children and grandchildren who loved him very much; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held Friday, March 2, 2018 at 1:00pm at First Assembly of God, 111 N. Sutton Lane, Mayfield KY with visitation from 11:00am until service time. Burial in Peaceful Valley Cemetery. Mason Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.masonbrothersfs.com
