Fred L. King 81, was born on September 7, 1934 to the late Ephriam B. King, Sr. and Hattie Hampton King in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He later moved to St. Louis Missiouri. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955 and retired from Alcoa in 1997. He faithfully served as trustee at Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church until his health no longer permitted.
Fred was married to the late Bernice Jean Lovelace King for 44 years. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers Ephriam B. King, Jr. and Howard King.
He leaves to cherish fond memories his children: Cheryl King, Jacqueline King-Taylor (Michael), and Raymond King; daughter-in-law: Bruceann King; five grandchildren: Demarcus Bonds, Courtney King Tramill (Jimmy), Cameron King, Christopher King, Trinity King; great-grandson: Julius King Tramill; brother-in-law Richard Brown (Mary); sister-in-law: Raelene Lovelace; Darryl and Renee Roland whom he loved as his own children; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
