Franketta Allison “Frankie” Taylor, 64, of Madisonville, KY made her transition unto eternal rest on Friday May 11, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. while surrounded by her loving husband, her children and close family.
She was born May 16, 1953 in Gary, IN to the union of Frank & Juanita Allison. Upon moving to Madisonville at a young age, Frankie gave her life to Christ joining Wesley Chapel C.M.E Church. She was a graduate of Madisonville North Hopkins High School class of 1972 where she participated in the 4x4 Relay earning the Distinguished honor of a Mason Dixon Championship. On July 14, 1972, Frankie married John T. Taylor, Jr., the love of her life. To this union 3 children were born.
Frankie was truly a dedicated wife and mother, displaying a strong work ethic that allowed her to multi-task and excel in every phase of life from taking care of a home, husband, and children, to coaching track, and baseball. She attended many events of interest such as the Democratic Women’s Committee. One of her loves and true passions was singing. She was a member of Flower Grove Missionary Baptist Church until 1987 when she joined Eastview Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a faithful choir member and participated in the annual church tea with her well decorated table.
Frankie served the city of Madisonville Police and Fire Department as a Dispatcher for over 30 years before retiring. She loved her family and extended family.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 45 years: John T. Taylor, Jr.; three children: John Trice Taylor, III of Morganfield, Ingra Quarles (Gary ) of St. Cloud, FL, Jermaine Allison Taylor of Madisonville; one sister: Beverly Rorer of Madisonville; three grandchildren: Ian Taylor and Jerrell Taylor both of Madisonville, Treyvon Taylor of St. Cloud, FL; two great grandchildren: Audrey Taylor of Madisonville, KY, Baela Belt of Dawson Springs, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews; great nieces & great nephews; great great nieces & nephews; and many cousins.
