Frank Edward Hampton

Frank Edward Hampton, aka. Big Frank left us on January 13th, 2020 with his daughter LaTonya by his side at Baptist Health in Madisonville, Kentucky.

Frank was born January 2, 1934 unto Benjamin Frank and Ella Mae Hampton. He graduated from Rosenwald High School in Providence, KY and went on to attend college; He enlisted in the United States Army; worked for Cook County Corrections in Chicago, IL, Breckinridge Job Corps, and Peabody Coal Mines.

He enjoyed being with his family. His interests included family, basketball, and the horses. Frank was a peaceful and loving man to everyone he encountered.

His parents Frank, Ella Mae and Maxine Hampton, daughter Demetrius Hampton, Grandsons Jaylan Phelps & Frank Jamar Hampton; Siblings Oliver LaPorte & Louis Armstrong preceded him in death.

He is survived by his children: Frank Hampton, Jr. (Margaret) and Keith Hampton both of Chicago, IL, LaTonya Banks (Earl) of Tampa, FL, Marcus Ivy of Henderson, KY; grandchildren: Keisha, Brittany, Chicketta, Byron, Kiara, Keith Jr, Starkita, Keyshay, Frantasia, Kaylayah, Kaulan, Ja’Niya;12 Great Grandchildren; siblings: Elbridge Hampton Sr. of Providence, KY, Gwennette Keys, Jeannette Oden (Turner),Melvin Hampton (Teddy), Michael Hampton, Joanne Coleman, Willie Hampton (Darlene), Carl Hampton (Deborah), Francine Hollie (Edwin), Donald Hampton (Mary), Ramona Reynolds (Richard), All from Chicago, IL, Elvita Wiles (Ronald) of Phoenix, AZ. A host of other family and friends.
