Francele Carter was born April 28, 1937 in Henderson County and departed this life Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 1:00am at Medco Nursing Home in Henderson, KY.
Francele attended Training School and Douglas High School in Henderson. She worked as a housekeeper in various homes, worked for Redbank Nursing Home, and was a volunteer at the Salvation Army. Francele became a member at New Jerusalem Baptist Church later in life. She loved to listen to music and was a collector of all things good to her.
Preceding her in death are her son, Carl Wayne; her parents: Samuel David Carter and Eula Frances Hairlson Carter; her three brothers: John David, Samuel Junior and James Ellis; three sisters: Mamie Lois, Nettie Mae Key, and Catherine Louise Carter.
Survivors include her sons: David Carter (Donna) of Owensboro, Rudolph Carter of South Bend IN, Claude Carter of Michigan, Richard Carter of Owensboro KY, Robert Carter (Shelley) of Evansville IN, and Kerry Carter of Owensboro KY; two daughters: Myrtle Carter of Henderson KY and Kristia Houston (Kevin) of Detroit MI; two sisters: Martha and Mary of Henderson KY; one brother, Richard Sherman Carter of Henderson KY; one uncle, Albert Hairlson of Henderson KY; 30 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved ones.
Services are Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 12:00pm at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with visitation from 10:00am until service time. Burial at Fernwood Cemetery. Condolences may be left at
