On April 14, 2018 Mother Esther Patton, 77, entered the gates of Heaven to be reunited with her husband Elder Frank Patton, Sr. She raised 8 children with Christian love. Mother Patton lived and stood for holiness! She loved the Lord!
Mother had a quiet and soft spirit.
For 26 years, Mother Patton was the First Lady of Open Door Church of God in Christ which her husband founded. She was also First Lady of the B.J. Watkins District of Indiana First Jurisdiction for 8 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years: Elder Frank Patton, Sr.; daughter:Pamela Faye Patton; parents: James N. Farmer and Emma M. Briscoe Farmer; brothers: Hillery Farmer, James M. Farmer, Sr.; sister: Shirley Vanleer; brother-in-law: Charles A. Patton, Sr.
She is survived by 4 sons: caregiver, Frank Patton, Jr. (Roxane) of Evansville, Michael Patton Sr. (Brenda) of Marietta, GA, Tyrone Patton of Evansville, Mickey Patton of Indianapolis, IN; 3 daughters: Debbie Patton-Bingham of Evansville, Patricia Patton of Newport News, VA, Cindy Beverley (Kenny) of Murfreesboro, TN; sister-in-law: Tonetta Patton-Reed of Cleveland, OH; brothers: Carl Farmer of St. Louis, MO, Rev. Robert Farmer, Charles H. Farmer (Carolyn) both of Evansville, IN; sisters: Ruth Fellows and Mary Sanderson both of St. Louis, MO; 18 grandchildren: Nathan Patton, Midori Angevine, Frank Patton, III, Jeremiah Patton, Heroshi Milan, Crystal Patton, Vernon Kirk, Michael Garnett, Michael Patton, Jr. Brandon Patton, Clarence Smalling, III, Chantel Brown, Tiana Patton, Allegra Taylor, Raven Beverley, Roslynn Beverley, Trinity Beverley, Kori Patton; 21 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and church friends; lifelong friends: Elizabeth Hawkins, Betty Smith, Opal Hodges, and Irene Brown.
