Emma Lee Ogburn Caldwell was born May 19, 1928 in Oak Grove, KY to the late Lunzy and Mary Belle Ogburn. She departed this life on Tuesday April 3, 2018.
She was united in matrimony to Ivory Caldwell and Robert Pearson. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age while living in Oak Grove. She later moved to Evansville where she joined Little Hope Baptist Church.
Emma worked for Gertha’s Nursing Home and she did domestic work for various families. In her spare time, she loved watching her soap operas; especially The Young & The Restless. She also enjoyed playing Solitaire.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Robert Ogburn, Will Daniel Ogburn, and Joe Walker; three sisters: Herberlia Gold, Lillian Ogburn, and Mayme Nelson; two daughters: Ivia P. Wade, and Sharon Crowe; two sons: Gerald and Anthony Pearson.
She leaves to cherish her memories, seven daughters: Annetta Sanders (John), Yvonne Caldwell, Brenda Fields of Chicago, Ill, Kathey Norman (Glen), Vanita, Kimberly, and Constance Pearson of Evansville, IN; two sons: Kevin Pearson, and Michael Caldwell of Evansville; one sister: Mabel Glover of North Chicago; 25 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren, 24 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
