Elson Stevie Sanners

Elson ‘Stevie’ Sanners was born on September 19, 1964 in Henderson, KY to Richard Sherman Carter and Catherine Sanners. On Saturday June 3, 2017, God called Elson home at the age of 52.
Elson was affectionately called Stevie by family & friends. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the University of Louisville’s Men’s Basketball team. Stevie’s passion was the game of basketball. He loved playing and watching the game as well as teaching the game of basketball.
Stevie enjoyed church service and regularly attended New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Evansville where Rev. Larry Sanners is the pastor. He was preceded in death by his mother: Catherine Sanners; sister: Mary Parker; as well as several other family members including aunts, nieces & nephews.
Stevie leaves to cherish his loving memory son: Nicklaus Walker; daughter: Torie Sanners both of Louisville, KY; father: Richard Sherman Carter of Henderson; sisters: Jackie Sanners, Marilyn Eldridge, Kathy Sanners all of Henderson; brothers: Charles Sanners of Henderson; Dana Sanners (Marquita) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Lawrence Sanners (Shannon),and David Sanners both of Evansville; a host of cousins nieces, nephews, and friends.
