Elizabeth Ann Minor Calhoun was born to the late James Minor and Myrtle Mae Adams on May 21, 1946 in Hopkins County, Ky. She was called home on September 30, 2016. She professed her life in Christ at an early age and united with the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Hecla where she sang in the Mass Choir. She attended J. W. Million of Earlington, KY.
She was the head caterer for many years at the Madisonville Country Club. Ann was famously known for her pies and soul food cooking. She was a loving, and giving soul who was a mother and care giver to generations of her family as well as a mentor and counselor to her sisters and those in need.
She leaves to cherish fond memories daughter: Kimberly Minor of Evansville, IN; son: Robert (Denise) Calhoun of Denver, CO; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 4 sisters: Mary L. (Torris) Powell, Clara Candy Belle of Earlingon, Carolyn (Dallas) Scisney and Cynthia Woods both of Madisonville; 2 brothers: Joe A. (Carolyn) Browder of Louisville, Robert Browder of Madisonville; 2 aunts: Lendola Minor and Georgia B. Johnson both of Indianapolis, IN; 1 sister-in-law:; Isadora Minor; 1 uncle: George (Nemus) Thompson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services are Thursday October 6, 2016 1:00 at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Mason & Sons Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
