Dorothy "Dottie" Carter

Dorothy “Dottie” Carter peacefully left this world on February 23, 2021 at the age of 63. She was born in Evansville, IN on June 23, 1957.
Dottie was a very shy girl. She was boisterous as a woman and always had a story, opinion, or a memory to share with others. She enjoyed playing cards and loved to attend Bingo. She took pride in being a nana and having a helping hand in raising her family.
Dottie is preceded in death by her parents; and special cousin, Doris Patterson Givens.
She is survived by her longtime partner of 42 years, Jesse Davis; her brother: Terry Carter; children: Carlos (Tara) Garnett Sr., Bianca Davis, Bryce Fleming, and Alexandria “Yaya” Fleming. Nana will be lovingly remembered by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Service will be Tuesday, March 2, at 1:00 p.m. at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel, Evansville, IN. Walk-through visitation on Tuesday, March 2, 12:00 until service time.
Masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced
