Doris Lee Cunningham Sr.
June 30, 1929 — December 14, 2016
Doris Lee Cunningham, Sr., age 87, passed away December 14, 2016 at Henderson Methodist Hospital with a home-going celebration surrounded by his family.
Doris was born in Hebbardsville, Kentucky on June 30, 1929 to the late James and Katherine Cunningham. He was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church where he loved singing in the choir of which he was a longtime member. He retired from Producers, Inc. where he worked hard to provide for his family. Doris was a World War II veteran.
Doris was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Cunningham; a son, Stacey Cunningham; his parents; a sister, Colleen Cunningham; and a brother, Cliff Cunningham. He was married to the late Cora Lee Cunningham for 60 years.
He will be forever remembered by his daughter and caregiver, Linda Tramill; daughter, Alicia Davis (Stan); son, Doris Cunningham, Jr. – all of Henderson KY; daughters, Paula Graves (Greg) and Melody Mc Coy of Evansville IN; his brother and sisters; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.
Services are Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 1:00pm at Seventh Street Baptist Church in Henderson, KY. Visitation is 11:00am until service time. Burial at Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson KY.
