Donald Ray Barnes

March 22, 1955 — February 8, 2023

Donald Ray Barnes, 67, known as “Bug” in his family, left this life on February 8, 2023. Donald was born on March 22, 1955, to the late Hattie and Levandar Barnes. He was a loving father to his two children, Laura (Barnes) Glaude and Brian Barnes, and leaves behind five grandchildren.
Donald was born and raised in Henderson, Kentucky. He worked as a salesman for much of his life and rarely met a stranger. He loved to tell jokes, play golf, and was big fan of UK basketball. He was generous and loyal to his family and friends. Through life’s struggles, he clung to his hope in Jesus, his savior.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Herman, Eugene, and William, along with sister: Linda.
Donald leaves behind his sister: Debra Turner; brother: Richard Barnes; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was deeply loved by his friends and family who will forever cherish their memories with him. As he always said, “Absent from the body, present with the Lord.”
