Minister Clara E. Gray transitioned from earth to eternal life on December 4, 2021, at Madisonville Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Madisonville to the late Eugene Gray, Sr., and Mary Louise Trice Gray. Clara attended Rosenwald High School graduating in the class of 1956.
During her work career, Clara was employed at a variety of jobs in the healthcare, patient care industry, and manufacturing which included Watkins Rest Home, the Mental Health Center, Outwood ResCare, and York Industries from which she retired.
Clara was a 38-year member of Word of Faith Christian Center where she taught Sunday School and led the Children’s Church ministry. Clara was a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was special to everyone she met. Her loving nature and giving heart changed the lives of all those she encountered with a message about a man named Jesus that could save your soul. Her jokes kept everyone laughing and her kind nature was tender and so sweet. Clara will be missed by her family, her church, and all of those with whom she came in contact.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Joyce Odessa Gray, Barbara Louise Gray, Margaret Ann Gray Williams; 1 brother: Ronnie Lee Gray.
Clara leaves to cherish her loving memory, children: Revena Browne of Oklahoma, Towana (Charles)Western of Madisonville, Jeffery Gray of Louisville, KY; brother: Eugene (Fannie)Grey, sister: Sandra Helm; honorary daughter & sons: Sherri Carter, Ronald Western, and Dionte Stills; and the Word of Faith church family.
Services are 12 noon Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Word of Faith Christian Center with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service. Burial in Eastside Oddfellows. Final arrangements entrusted to Mason & Sons. Leave condolences at
