Christopher Earl Murphy, Jr., 38, of Earlington, KY transitioned away from all his loved ones at Little Sandy Correctional Complex in Sandy Hook, Kentucky on March 10, 2021 at 1:26 a.m. EST. Christopher was born to the queen of his heart Pamela Scisney and his devoted father Christopher Murphy, Sr. He was born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma on March 7, 1983, but grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, which he considered home (Georgia Boy). He was a 2001 graduate of Mundy’s Mill High School in Atlanta.
Christopher was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Earlington, KY, and knew he loved the Lord. He worked at Tyson Foods for several years until he stepped out on faith to pursue a career as a miner at Temper Fabricators, but his true passion was to become a truck driver. He then began attending England Premier Truck Driving School.
Christopher loved spending time outside with his children playing football and kickball in the community, listening to music, and just being a big kid. He was loved by so many because of his big heart and charm. Christopher played semi-pro football for the Panthers based out of Kentucky.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Floyd and Mattie Murphy; grandfathers: Dudley Starks and Robert Hayes; grandmothers: Anna Belle Beckner and Viola Hayes; aunts: India Slaton and Wanda Faye Clark; uncle: Michael Murphy.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of four years: Sheba Murphy; four children: Giovanni Crook, Christian Murphy, Alyssa Sims, and De’Shawn Murphy; Parents: Pamela Scisney and Christopher (Cassandra) Murphy, Sr. ; two sisters: Tiffany (Ken) Starks and Tamela (Tony) Willet; four brothers: Samual Murphy, Chris Murphy, Vernon Mitchell, and Stefen Murphy; stepbrothers: Derek Williams and Jamel Woods; grandmother: Martha Ann Starks; nieces and nephews: La’Trye, Cyntoria, Alexus, Tyreale, Tiyas, Jahni, Da’Sean, Christian,Jr.; great nieces and nephews: Amiya, Sophia, Tre’Shawn, Zayden, Terielle, Jeremiah, Javon, La’Niyah, La’Tonya, Roland, Jr., Paris, Sereniti, and Siana, Samual, Jr., Christian, Ma’Kenzi, Kayeen, Ka’Leigha, and Kai’Son; two special women in his life: La’Tasha Woolfork, Keisha Carter; his beloved dogs: Queenie, Hazel, Blitz, and Capone; and a host of cousins and friends.
