Chester Lee Jones

Chester Lee Jones, age 73, of Madisonville KY passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 5:00pm at Baptist Health Madisonville.

Chester was born in Wheatcroft KY to Carrie Elizabeth and Macon Curtis Jones on September 7, 1942. He retired from the DANA Corporation after 42 years of service.

Chester was preceded in death by his mother, Carrie Elizabeth Jones; his father, Macon Curtis Jones; two brothers: Richard Earnest Jones and Dennis Rey Jones; and a sister, Linda Sue Jones.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Irene Jones of Wheatcroft KY; his son, Chester Lee Jones, Jr. of Killeen TX; two daughters: Briana Jones and Tara Jones, both of Madisonville KY; three granddaughters; four grandsons; one great-granddaughter; four sisters: Rita M. Jones of Haslit TX, Carrie J. Jones of Pulaski TN, Brenda K. Bohannon of Indianapolis IN, and Theresa A. Campbell of Springfield IL; four brothers: Macon Jones, Jr. of Providence KY, Bobby J. Jones of Wheatcroft KY, Jerry W. Jones of Wheatcroft KY, and Michael Jones of Wheatcroft KY; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 2:00pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 821 Westerfield Drive in Providence, Kentucky with Rev. William House officiating. Friends may call at the church from 12:00 noon until service time. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield KY. Mason & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
