Charles "Squeaky" Herbert Young, Jr., 74, a beloved resident of Pleasant Ridge (Daviess County), Kentucky, was called to his heavenly home on January 15, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born on May 9, 1950, in Owensboro, Daviess County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Charles Herbert, Sr., and Lula Mae (Davis) Young.
In his early years, Charles and his family moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where he graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1968 and attended Ohio State University. A dedicated sports enthusiast and a passionate supporter of Cleveland teams, his enthusiasm was evident throughout his life. Charles served as the Psychiatric Nurse Supervisor at the Cleveland State Hospital before returning to his roots with his family in Pleasant Ridge, Kentucky.
A faithful Pleasant Point Baptist Church member, Charles contributed to his community by serving in various capacities. He was known for his kindness and the cherished memories he created with those around him. Charles is preceded in death by his loving parents but is survived by his aunt, Loraine Skates-Young of Georgia, along with a host of cousins and special friends who will deeply miss his presence.
