Charles William Lee Marshall, 82, of Henderson, Kentucky departed this life on July 8, 2024. Charles was one of the most gifted athletes in local sports history. He was a four-year basketball starter for the Bisons and quarterbacked the 1959 Douglas football team to second place in the Class A State Championships. He was named to several all-state teams following a basketball career in which he scored 1,875 points ranking among the top five all-time local scorers. Charles worked for many years on the assembly line at Whirlpool before becoming an Iron Worker, where he retired after 20 years.

At an early age, Charles joined Calvary Baptist Church and remained a member until his death. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as supporting his grandkids at their various sporting events. But, most of all, Charles enjoyed riding around in his car sightseeing.
