Catherine Clardy Burton, 96, was born in Montgomery County, KY on September 4, 1926 to Amos and Carrie (Gold) Clardy. She went home to her Savior on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Good Samaritan Home surrounded by family.
Catherine was married to Alex T. Burton for over 50 years and two children: David and Rickey came from this union. She was a faithful mother at Mt. Olive Galilee Baptist Church attending Sunday School along with being a prayer warrior for family, friends, and the world. She never met a stranger and enjoyed being with family and friends.
Mother Burton was preceded in death by her husband, Alex; her son, David: her siblings: James, Mary, Robert, Lou, Ruth, Gabe, Arthur, Ella, Carrie, Earl, & Leonard (her twin); and other family members.
She is survived by her son, Rickey (Lana); grandchildren: David Ray (Sharron), Diana Ware, Marcus, Melissa, Vivian, and Alexander (Xavia); 8 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren & numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by many.
Her homegoing celebration will be Saturday, March 11, 2023 beginning at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive Galilee Baptist Church with visitation at Mason Funeral Home on Friday, March 10 beginning at 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Rev. Floyd Edwards officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Good Samaritan Home for their care and for all those who visited her by showing the love of Christ.
