Carl Wayne Masden

Carl Wayne Masden, age 61 of Evansville, Indiana was called home on April 15, 2016 after being ill for many years. Carl Wayne was born July 16, 1954 to the late Bobbie “Baby Jane” Roberts and Wathen William “Big Buddy” Masden, Sr. He was a graduate of North High School and later attended Indiana University. After college, Carl Wayne started his work career at CSX Railroad and later moved on to Vectren Energy Company from which he retired after 31 years of service. Carl Wayne was a person who never met a stranger and would love to sit and talk for hours. Besides loving to talk, he also loved to eat and make people laugh with his jokes.

Carl Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Russell Roberts; sister, Zreeta Hardin; brother-in-law; Armandus “Jerry” Hardin; nephews, Carless Hardin and Rozell Masden; cousins, Retia Ann Copeland, James Copeland, Sr. and Quincy Scott.

He leaves to cherish loving memories, his daughter, Carla Masden (Timothy) of Henderson KY; sister, Judith Morse of Nashville TN; brothers: Wathen W. Masden, Jr. (Tamara) of Evansville, IN and Charles Masden of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren: Jordan Masden, Daevion Masden, Da’jea Myers; caregivers: Don Miller, Gloria Moore, Faye Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Carl Wayne will truly be missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the Home Healthcare staff at Deaconess Hospital, his friend, Tamiko “Peaches” Marable from Nashville TN and everyone who helped Carl Wayne when he was down.

Services are Saturday April 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church with visitation on Friday April 22, 2016 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the church. R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.masonbrothersfs.com .
