Mr. Carl Edward Culley

October 10, 1943 — January 3, 2023

Carl Culley, 79, was born to the late Thomas Lee Culley and Cecelia A. (Kissel) Culley on October 10, 1943. He passed away on January 3, 2023. Carl was educated in the Evansville-Vanderburgh County School Corporation where he attended the old Daniel Wertz Elementary School and graduated from F. J. Reitz High School in 1961. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force from which he was honorably discharged in 1965. Later, he attended the University of Southern Indiana and was a proud member of the 2014 graduating class. He was a licensed realtor and owned Culley Real Estate Company for many years.
Carl was a faithful member of Memorial Baptist Church where he was an usher and worked with the Men’s Ministry. As a realtor, he worked closely with the Memorial Community Development Corporation. Carl was also a member of the Otis Stone American Legion Post 345. He was best known for his sense of humor and his cooking skills. Throughout the years, he enjoyed boating, fishing, traveling, building model airplanes, and stamp collecting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Jimmy Lee Culley; sisters: Jenny Culley Hyde and Barbara Culley Cullen; and granddaughter: Alessandra Stensrude.
Carl leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughters: Christine Culley and Stephanie Culley; brother: Thomas A. Culley; granddaughters: Courtney Stensrude and Emma Kaither; grandson: Maxwell Kaither; nieces: Donna Gabeza and Beth Ann Hyde; and nephew: Michael Cullen.
