Cameron D. Morran

February 22, 1946 — December 7, 2024

Cameron D. Morran, 78, transitioned from Earth to Eternity on December 7, 2024. He was born in Lima, Ohio to the late Aaron D. Morran and Edna Mae Jeffries on February 22, 1946. After graduating from high school, Cameron enlisted in the United States Army where he served honorably. He was a Vietnam veteran, a member of Special Forces, and a Ranger in the 101st Airborne Division. After 21 years of service, he retired at the rank of Master Sergeant and went into law enforcement. During this time, he also enrolled in college and attended for 2 years utilizing his GI bill. Cameron was a Deputy Sheriff in the Cochise County Arizona Sheriff’s Department for many years until 2007 when he began experiencing health issues and moved to Madisonville to be with his daughter, Elizabeth.

Cameron loved the military and loved to talk about his experiences. He collected guns and loved to go to the gun range. He was an expert at disassembling and maintaining guns. Izzy, his little Yorkie, was his constant companion and brought him much joy.

Cameron leaves to cherish his memory his children: Elizabeth Morran, Rich Hamilton, Marianne Greene, and Mark Morran; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; siblings: Karen Foster, Carmen Harmon, Fred Sears, and Michael Sears; and a host of other family members.
