Barbara Jean “Babe” Saucer Packo, 81, of Evansville, went home to be with the Lord at her residence on Saturday, April 15, 2017. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, an active member of the Lincoln Clark Douglass Alumni Association, and a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Barbara has always loved reading books of all kinds. She also enjoyed traveling with her family and has taken many cruises. Her philosophy was to travel as much as she could while she was physically able to do so. Through the years, she has taken delight in trips to Jamaica, Hawaii, Mexico, and The Bahamas; just to name a few of the places she has been. Her last cruise with daughter Regina was to Alaska. Despite her yearning for travel, Barbara’s favorite time was spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by daughters: Regina Brown of Atlanta, Rena Boone (Ben) of Evansville, Terrisha Sanders of Atlanta; son: Ronnie Orr (Linda) of Atlanta; brother: William Saucer of Evansville; four grandchildren: Chrome Sanders, Derek Barnett, Markus Johnson, and Erika Barnett; 4 great grandchildren; a host of nieces & nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Mehrzad, Kindred Hospice and Ohio Valley Dialysis. Visitation with family and friends will be Saturday April 22, 2017 from 10-12 noon at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be private with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
