Barbara Ann “Bobbie” Tramill Green, 70, transitioned from Earth to Eternity on October 1, 2023. She was affectionately known by many names: Fun Maker by her late Aunt Polly, Nana by her great-grandson, and Aunt Piggy by her nieces and nephews. Barbara was born to the late Jonah and Ruby Louise Oldham Tramill in Henderson, Ky. After graduating from high school, she attended Henderson Vocational College and later worked at Carrington Art Fair as a Packing Supervisor.
Barbara was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed listening to gospel music whenever she could. In her leisure time, she loved to fish and knit. Barbara also enjoyed cooking for her family and was well known for her delicious greens, strawberry cake, rum cake, and fried fish. With her husband Albert, Barbara relished the time they spent taking long drives with their grandbabies.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 50 years: Albert Lamar Green; children: Rachel Ann Green Johnson and Alex Lamar Green; granddaughter: Keishana Rashae Johnson; 2 great-grandsons: Josiah Lamar Anthony Johnson and Elijah Lamar Johnson; siblings: Ruben Tramill, Gus Tramill, Shirley Neblett, Tavia Hamilton, Ellen Mildred Johnson, Alma Hamilton; a host of other relatives and friends.
