Arthur Lee (Mook) Morris

Arthur Lee (Mook) Morris, 72, went home to be with the Lord on Monday June 4, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center surrounded by family. He was born in Evansville to the late Frank and Mattie Morris on Sept. 12, 1945. Attended school in the Evansville Vanderburgh School System. He enjoyed watching sports especially basketball. He loved to fish but his passion was helping others in need. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for many years.

Arthur Morris was a kind hearted and loving son, brother and friend who cared more for others than he did for himself. He devoted his time to helping others, whether it was in church or simply on the street. His heart and love for others was far larger than himself. He is preceded in death by his beloved family members: wife: Tara Morris; sisters: Mary Morris, Martha Taylor, Mae Alice Morris; brothers: Willie, William, George, Vernal, Andrew, and Mitchell Morris. He leaves to cherish his memory brother: Glen Morris (Junko) of Okinawa, Japan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
