Arnisha Fleming

October 26, 1933 — January 7, 2025

Arnisha Fleming, affectionately known to her friends and family as Wootie, passed away peacefully in Evansville, Indiana, on January 7, 2025, at the remarkable age of 91. She entered this world on October 26, 1933, in Canton, Mississippi, as the beloved daughter of Walter Fleming Sr. and Mattie Bell (Plummer) Fleming.

A vibrant spirit throughout her life, Arnisha was known for her unwavering faith and commitment to her family. She dedicated herself to her spiritual growth as a cherished member of the Bread of Life Kingdom Ministries, formerly known as Progressive Holy Temple. Under the loving guidance of Apostle William W. Simmons Sr. and Pastor Timothy W. Simmons Sr., Arisha flourished in her faith, finding both strength and inspiration that shaped her life’s journey.  Throughout her years, Arnisha became a beacon of hope and kindness, impacting the lives of many. Her legacy of love and faith will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.  As one of nine siblings, Arisha learned early on the importance of perseverance and resourcefulness. Growing up in a large family instilled a strong bond, and she often found creative ways to earn her dollars. Her unconditional love for her family was evident in everything she did. Arisha found immense joy in her garden, where she would spend hours picking fresh green beans. She cherished her evenings on the front porch, often singing hymns that reflected her love for the Lord.  Her faith was a cornerstone of her daily life; each morning, without fail, Arnisha would rise at 6:00 AM, prepare herself for the day, and spend time calling on the Lord in song. This routine exemplified her devotion and unwavering commitment to her spiritual life.  Arnisha was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Felicia Fleming, who held a special place in her heart, along with her numerous siblings. Despite her losses, she leaves a loving legacy that will be honored and remembered by her granddaughter, Kalia Level, her grandson, Kameron Jackson, and her great-grandchild, Ke’Mora Jackson, all of whom reside in Evansville, IN. She is also survived by her brother, E.L. Fleming (Hazel), who lives in Jackson, MS.
