Ardia Alexander

Ardia Alexander was born in Hollandale, Mississippi, on January 15, 1936, to the late Charlie Wells and Slady Hune. She passed away on August 15, 2024, at Brentwood Nursing Home at the age of 87.

Ardia, a dedicated member of Memorial Baptist Church in Evansville, Indiana, was known for her caring nature. As a homemaker and a mother of five, she would do anything possible for her family and friends. Her love extended to her dogs, garden, and household plants.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayman M. Alexander, her daughters Linda Edwards and Brenda Webster, and her brothers George Wells, Sr. Arthur Cooks, and Clarence Cooks.

 She leaves to cherish her memories: her sons Larry (Theresa) Wells, Jr. and Avon Winters; daughter Evelyn Taylor, all of Evansville, Indiana; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
