Archie C. Cabell, age 92, of Toledo, passed away Dec.13, 2018 at home. Archie was born February 4, 1926 in Henderson, KY to Otha and Alibee (McGuire) Cabell. He served in the US Navy during World War II in Guam. He was employed and retired from Chrysler. Archie was a drummer and singer for many years. He enjoyed watching westerns, the Cleveland Indians, blues and jazz music, hunting rabbit and pheasant. Archie was the first black meter reader in Evansville, IN and had the fastest motorcycle in town.
He was preceded in death by his parents, children: Archie Cabell, Jr., Wallace Cabell and Floyd Morse-Cabell and 13 siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lena Cabell; children: Katie Overton, Anna McDonald, Marlena Gilmore (Carl), Misty Waldon, Thomas McFarland, George Cabell, Eric Cabell, James Cabell, Tracy Cabell (Joni), Ronald Cabell, Anthony Cabell, Matthew Cabell (Traci); sisters: Eva J. Allison, Lodia Coates and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends may call Fri. Dec. 21, 2018 from 10 AM-1 PM at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel with visitation on Thurs. Dec. 20, 2018 6-8 PM also at the chapel. Burial in Locust Hill Cemetery.
