Antoinitta Renee “Toni,” “Nuckey'' McGlown left her earthly home in Evansville, Indiana on Friday August 7, 2020 at the precious age of 57. Antoinitta was born June 29,1963 to the late L.C. and Zelma Lee McGlown in Evansville. She attended school at Wheeler and Perry Heights Elementary schools and she graduated from Francis Joseph Reitz High School in 1981.
After high school , she received her Associates Degree in Computer Science Programming and Accounting from Lockyear College in 1985. She was awarded her diploma from North Main Beauty Academy in 1988 obtaining her cosmetology license. Toni worked for River City Cab company and Methodist Youth Care center. She continued her career working for Rescare for 22 years as the Residential manager for Olmstead Group Home. Toni was preceded in death by her parents L.C. and Zelma Lee McGlown, brother David B.(Smaxcy) McGlown, grandparents Ruby and Roy Cook, Roberta and Andy Thacker and Albert McGlown.
She always got in “good trouble” with her high school friends and Co-workers from ResCare. Toni’s passion and love of life was demonstrated in her hard work and dedication to her two children. Toni showed love, especially with her electric captivating McGlown smile. She also got her passion for cooking from her mom and Shirley Baker. Toni is survived by her two sons: Juwan M Freels, Jyrus D Freels; sister: Ruby Jean McGlown; brothers: Leroy ( Patricia) McGlown, Stuttgart, Germany, Anthony (Yvonne) McGlown and Lee (Neeosha) McGlown, both of San Antonio Texas; bonus brothers: Vincent ( Gina) Farris, Chicago Illinois, Alfonso ( Luwana ) Williams, Indianapolis Indiana, Orienthian (OJ) Pullom; extended children, Kenneth Langley, Bryce Langley and Landon Langley; Aunts: Rosie Pearl (Robert) Blackmon, Oxford Mississippi, Anna Owsley ,Bertha (Roger) Kelley, both of Evansville, Mary Cook, Colorado Springs, CO; uncles: Jeremiah (Mildred) Thacker, Evansville Indiana, Henry Orange, Oxford, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Her work here is done, and now she smiles above us each and every day. She will be missed but our hearts will be filled with fond memories.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 15, 2020 at R. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel with visitation from 5-7 p.m. Friday August 14, 2020 also at the funeral home. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Leave condolences at
