Annie Lee Brown Bryant, 72, transitioned from Earth to Eternal Life on January 17, 2023, at Linda White Hospice Center. She was born in Macon, Mississippi to the late Martin and Francis Coleman Brown. Annie professed her belief in Christ at an early age joining Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she was a proud usher. She was also an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Starlight 037 in Macon, Mississippi serving as the Worthy Matron. Years later after moving to Chicago, Annie worked at Wentworth Nursing home as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was also on the Board of Directors of Lafayette Plaza in Chicago. Annie was a devoted mother and a friend who was always there for others who needed her. She loved to travel to the Caribbean, Las Vegas, and several cities in Florida.
In addition to her parents, Annie is preceded in death by her husband: Sylvester Bryant; 3 sisters; 5 brothers; and grandson: Ladarius Roby.
Annie is survived by son: Claude Stokes, Jr.; daughter: Loretha (Earnest) Mason, sisters: Gertrude Smith and Mary Edwards; grandchildren: Claude Stokes III, Kabrel Stokes, Kyren Stokes, Amora Stokes, Amira Stokes; a host of nieces, nephews, and special friend: Dwayne Ross.
