Annette Grinstead was born on the 7th of November 1941 to the late Jesse Lee McCauley Sr. and Mary Alice Blanchard of Detroit Michigan. Annette was the 5th born of five children. She was called home on May 10th, 2022, at Redbank Colonial Terrace Care Facility in Sebree, Ky.
Annette lost her mother at just 4 months old which resulted in her being raised by her father’s mother the late Viola Shaw in Earlington Ky. While growing up away from her father and siblings, Annette confessed her life to Christ at an early age at Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member for many years.
Annette's father was committed to seeing that his children had a solid educational background. This desire resulted in Annette graduating from the historic J.W. Million High School in Earlington, KY.
After graduating high school, courtship began with a young man named Chiles Grinstead. Annette and Chiles married, and the couple had two children: a daughter Donna and a son Timothy. The couple was married for 25 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Alice Phillips of Evansville, IN; and brothers: Phillip McCauley and Anthony McCauley of Detroit, MI.
Annette leaves to cherish her memory daughter: Donna L. Grinstead of Murray, KY; son: Timothy L. Grinstead (Tracey) of Chester, VA; brother: Jesse L. McCauley Jr. of Detroit, MI; sister: Mary C. Cosey (Robert) of Dearborn MI; sisters-in-law: Carol Bennett of Detroit, MI and Ludella Grinstead of Madisonville, KY; grandchildren: Deshawn Grinstead (Amity) of Murray KY; Sapresha Grinstead, Labraysha Shaw (Jontay), Kierra Davis, Timothy Grinstead Jr. of Richmond VA; Five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
