Angelo was born on July 11, 1953 to Martha Lou Thomas in Evansville, IN . He departed this life at the age of 63 on April 5, 2017 in Cincinnati OH. He was the eldest of 4 children.
Angelo attended Bosse High School in Evansville, and Crispus Attacks in Indianapolis, IN. He received an Associates Degree from Ball State University where he majored in Political Science.
Later in life Angelo professed his hope in God and joined the Muslim faith.
Angelo worked at a mall in Cincinnati, OH where he was loved by many. He was also employed by Fifth-Third Bank where he was a customer service advisor.
Angelo's departing testimony was “God has been very good to me and I have lived a full life.”
Awaiting his arrival in heaven are his grandmothers, Lou and Bernice Thomas. His grandfather Les Thomas and a special aunt Audrey Nance; an uncle John Thomas as well as a variety of Clardy relatives including aunties Carrie Jakes, Ruth Washington, Edna and Elsie Clardy, Uncles James Clardy, Amos Washington and Alex Burton and his cousin Kenneth Woodard.
He leaves to cherish his life his mother, Martha Lou Thomas Hurtz, a son Andre Davis of Evansville, IN, a grandson Braylon Davis. (2) sisters Kimberly Hurtz St. Louis, Mo and Carolyn Presley of Evansville, IN. (2) brothers Bruce Thomas and Kenneth Hurtz of Evansville, IN, cousin Timothy Thomas, big sister/cousin Ann Clardy Georges of St. Thomas, VI, great-aunt Catherine Burton of Evansville, IN and special childhood friend Robert Crawford, a special cousin Wayne Clardy and the love of his life Regena Tidwell who has stood by his side, loved and cared for him until the end and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
Muslim services and burial were held on Monday April 10, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at Memorial Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday April 13, 2017.
