Alysia Renee' Slaton

Alysia Renee Slaton, 47 of Madisonville, Kentucky, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. She was the daughter of the late James A. and Ophelia G. Slaton. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Alice Couch, Abraham and Claudine Slaton, James Gant, and her sister Patricia A. Slaton.

Alysia graduated from Madisonville North Hopkins High School and attended Madisonville Community College. She professed her faith in Christ at Eastview Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and was very active in the youth group under the pastoral care of Reverend Phillip Hodge. She later became a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, under the pastoral care of Reverend Robert L. Cottoner.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother: Mrs. Ophelia G. Slaton; grandmother: Mrs. Mary Gant of Madisonville; daughters: Jer’Lesha and Jer’Resha White; son: Jermaine White, Jr. of Madisonville, Kentucky; brothers: Michael D. (Pam) Slaton of Schulenburg, TX, Rev. Terry D. (LaDrenna) Slaton of Madisonville, KY, James K. (Kimberly) Slaton of Russellville, KY; sister: Valveta E. White of Madisonville, KY; grandchildren: Ja’Kiera Little, Tra’Laysia Civils, Jay’ston White, Azariah Hart, Da’Ryiah, and D’Auri Cager; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
