Sister Alice Ann Miller Buckner, 77, of Henderson passed away Wednesday January 18, 2017 at Methodist Hospital. She was a member of Holy Tabernacle Church of God In Christ. Alice accepted Christ at an early age. She attended St. Matthews COGIC in Yazoo City, Miss for many years where she was on the hospitality and kitchen committee which she loved to serve on. She returned to Kentucky and joined Holy Tabernacle also serving on the Hospitality Committee.
Alice was a dedicated military wife as her family moved to several cities throughout the country. They settled in Yazoo City, Miss where she worked at Multi Kraft and Bumpus Restaurant. Upon returning to Kentucky, she was employed at Redbanks Nursing Facility until she retired.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Buckner; parents: Ben Miller and Lula Carter Miller; brothers: Claude Miller, Ben Miller; sisters: Myrtle Miller, Evelyn Thomas, Eula Miller, Augustine Miller. She leaves to cherish fond memories son: Dale Buckner (Darlene); daughter: Mary Loraine Edgerson; grandchildren: Dale Edwards, Dominique Turnage, Mike Patterson, Travis Little, Edwin Little; 15 great grandchildren; sisters: R. Lillian Tyler, Dorothy Dixon, Peggy Taylor; brothers: Melvin Miller, Stephen Barrett (Clarissa) and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
