Alexandria “Yaya” Fleming of Evansville, IN passed away in her sleep the morning of August 10th, just days before her 31st birthday. She was born to Dorothy Carter and Johnny Fleming and raised by Jesse Davis.
From the beginning, she graced this world with love, sarcasm, and personality. She attended West Terrace, Perry Heights, and F.J. Reitz High School. This is where she developed a love for reading, writing poetry and formed lifelong friendships.
Yaya loved watching Harry Potter movies, Saw, Twilight, and other horror movies. She also enjoyed graphic t-shirts, diverse music, and recently, the WNBA. Most importantly, Yaya loved her family. Never wanting children, she gave her all to being the best aunt, great aunt, and TT to a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Carter, Johnny Fleming, and Jesse Davis, along with her grandparents and childhood friends.
Yaya is survived by siblings, Carlos Garnett, Sr. (Tara), Bianca Green (Richard), Bryce Fleming, Chelsey Baxter, Anetra Fleming, Jonathan Fleming, and Kaci Greer.
