Alex Louis Drake

Alex Louis Drake was born to Levora Wilkes and Wilford Drake on July 9, 1965, in Madisonville, Kentucky. He departed this life on June 26, 2023, at his residence. Alex was the youngest of 11 siblings and deeply loved his brothers and sisters.

At an early age, Alex joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member until his death. Alex enjoyed gospel hymns and good old-fashioned preaching. In his early years, Alex loved running the hills of Hecla and hanging at Daddy George’s. He attended Earlington School and worked for the Madisonville Country Club, Lake Shore Country Club, and Hollis Detail Shop for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Andre Lynn White, and brothers: William Civils and Anthony Civils.

He leaves to cherish his memory daughters: Alexis (Bobby) Johnson and Adriena White, both of Madisonville, KY; son Andrew (Teneka) Stafford of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren: Arruice Stafford, Bryanne Johnson, Brayden Johnson, Anna’Leece White, and Trey’von Yates; brothers: James Civils, Edward (Vonnel) Drake, Herbert Drake, Bradley Drake, Kenneth (Pete) Drake, William Scisney all of Madisonville, KY; sisters: Diane Taylor of Indianapolis, IN, Jennifer Civils of Madisonville, KY, Dorothy Tandy of Louisville, KY, Jennifer (Robert) Boyd of Madisonville, KY; step brother: William Scisney; step-sister: Sharon Scisney Foster; bonus brothers & sisters: the Minor Family; his companion: Donna Hughes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
