Albert N. Jackson, Sr., born on November 8, 1927, to Reginald and Carolyn Jackson, in Washington, D. C., passed away on March 1, 2024. Albert enlisted in the United States Army at a young age and served for 20 years. He was a Korean War veteran. After the army, he was employed at the United States Justice Department for 20 years. He also worked at Mason Brothers Funeral Home. Albert was a member of Greater Norris Chapel Baptist Church where he served in the choir. He loved watching television, especially his favorite team, formerly known as the Washington Redskins, and old cowboy movies. His favorite foods were cheeseburgers and vanilla milkshakes from McDonalds along with honey buns. He loved his dog, Zoey. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn E. Johnson; father, Reginald Jackson; son, Reginald Jackson; brother, Richard Barbar; and sister, Emma Evans. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Mary Alice Jackson; daughters, Carolyn Weathers (Tyrone) and Cynthia Jackson; son, Albert Jackson, Jr. (Babby); stepson, James Hickerson (Vicky); stepdaughters, Chiquita Elliott (Deon), Jeanette Whitlock, and Katrina Barbee (Rodney);and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
